SHIBABRATA KAR has over 30 years of mentoring experience in Human Resource Development, working on lab to land strategy design and implementation, advocacy and policy advisory including monitoring and evaluation of large donor projects. Associated with UNDP for more than a decade in providing technical advisory to various Ministries in Government of India and various states in the areas of Local Self-Governance, Localization of SDGs, Risk assessment and preparedness.
He has been also a former National Team Lead in UNDP with Ministry of Panchayati Raj for designing and launching of State Guidelines on gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) and strengthening Panchayati Raj Institutions in all states of India. He has tremendous skills in Dip Stick Assessments of Multi Stake Projects with Government Departments and CSOs. He comes with several innovation in capacity building in Direct Trainers’ Skill, Leadership and Empowerment, Situation Analysis and TNA, DRR and Sanitation. His capacities in developing and producing domain documents both for research reference as well as user-friendly U2Me mentoring handbooks, creative resource material for practitioners’ reference and short films for field teams have been widely appreciated and used.
